this weeks theme: MUSIC
#SDR eccentric/ eclectic/ electric
Dropped Paul off very VERY early to Chirk train station as he was off to Oxford.
I didn’t stop most of the day. Haircut and then DR’s – I spilled my guts out about how crap I’m feeling at the moment, but I didn’t feel any sense of compassion/ empathy/ warmth from the DR – the complete opposite really, blood tests ordered, but that’s in two weeks, god knows how am supposed to cope till then eh?
Weather in Savignac looks good this weekend coming
Still feeling exhausted, wish it would shake off, even for an hour – feel like we need a holiday!
Went to feed the ducks and bonded with the duck with the limp, who ate bread out of my hand
Started to take some images of the hall/ location
Lovely custard yellow on the local pub
Over to Liverpool to get new 10 year passport (thought it might be useful if moving to France) as soon as we parked up a seagull shat on the car from a great height. This was not the one, but they were spending lots of time looking at themselves in the window of the passport office
Paul got a brand new iPhone 5 – #exciting
Met Jane for lunch and went to Jamies and down a side street saw Garlands
The boys were ready for the trip to London, the car however had a flat tyre, after mucho stresso as all the places were closing at 12.30. Anyways, RAC man arrived, changed spare tyre, over to Chirk for new tyre and hey presto – tyre ready to leave 3 hours later.
M6 toll road was blissfully quiet
We arrived at Gatwick, checked in and off to Honor Oak Park
Paul looked lovely, and suddenly my tiredness started lifting
This was typical of our journey down
Andy Murray won Wimbledon, first man in 77 years blah blah
So I created a V for victory hairstyle
Our for dinner to Giraffe
Paul off to central London for work, I stayed at the hotel, did stuff on computer, day flew by, out for quick trip to New Cross and then met Paul at London Bridge for meal at Strada, sat outside, very windswept, Parmesan flying everywhere except on the plate
Popped in the Hilton for quick coffee and the Denny sent text to say we could go to the executive lounge, so we did, wine on the terrace
Both into the city, Paul to meeting, me to shops, dinner at Vapiano in Southwark, back to Gatwick from Blackfriars
Paul to central London, me back to the hall, thankfully the car journey home was stress free and the motorway was fairly clear
Home to find the San Francisco flower in flower
Had this lovely raw coconut water – was yummy – and bought from the awesome whole food market
As per usual, IT issues continue
The hall looked splendid
Paul arrived home and celebrations were held
Misty start to the day

Trying on hats
To doctors, about me finger, looks like i have a
Over to Chester, Picked up Nursie, lunch at Carluccios. Into Plas Coch/ Wrexham for spot of shopping on route home
Made lovely cocktails
Popped into the garden centre, looked at things
Visitors arrived, had a ‘running buffet’ and drank buck fizz
Spent a great deal of the day getting ready to leave, there was much to do
The truck arrived and much happened and was moved
Popped in to Llangollen for haircut and quick ‘goodbye’
Alien face in the ironing board?
View from the music room on the 4th floor…. lots to do…. manic day
Last morning view
Welcome to the new bridge
Left, dropped off keys and said goodbye to Terry and the ducks and the Redwood tree
Over to Chester, checked into the hotel. Out for drinks/ food to the Steak/ meat place – cocktails, loud piano man playing indie hits with a musical theater twist (bad!) – then onto another bar, can’t remember much after this
Back to Lookers, said goodbye to the lovely car
Back to hotel, checked out, walk to train station, bit of a hoohar about the right card for the tickets, but at last we were on the train and off to London
Arrived at the hotel, Boys were getting excited about France
Popped into Plateau for free bottle of bubbly, plus cocktails and lovely lovely food and fantastic service!
Weather looks V V hot later in the week
Just for the hell of it, we watched Madonna in Paris
On the terrace, Paul had hit ‘tube station’ custume looking great! (can you guess what tube it was?)
Who was this sex symbol?
My finger was NOT happy, luckily, Paul put on his pinny and did his bandage/ nurse routine
Last image of London for a while
We arrived, finally, finger ‘throbbing like a son of a bitch’ (Karen Walker) – taxi, hotel, wander, nothing open, back to hotel, found lovely place to have our first ‘new life’ meal
New day, new life. Great image space, trees, merry-go-round, fountain – says it all for our future?
Breakfast, ordered, by moi, in french – funny, some French love their rules don’t they, even the woman who almost fell over as she sat on what she thought was a table but was a trolley thing, was insistent that i stood in a certain place for the queue, i didn’t as i was busy, but I feel OK about it, I’m not living her life, I’m living mine – anyway, I will never take advice from someone who can’t even sit down properly 🙂
Breakfast was yummy!
In cab to the Nissan garage, 2pm everyone came back, Paul joked that our car could be the one under the cover, and it was
Drive down to Perigueux, was lovely and relaxing. Listened to Radio Nova station and found a few tracks we liked.
Got to hotel, checked in and then out again to view the house. The Madam was friendly, which was good. Had a look round and back to Perigueux
Unpacked, did things on the internet, relaxed a bit and off out to find somewhere to eat. Paul had been recommended a square place, so we went, and it was good
Found a lovely spot/ square for dinner – food was a little plain, but fine and lovely setting
Every year there is a mime festival (do they clap?) – we passed a crowd, they were very quiet, all waiting for something to happen – eerie
Woke to a morning/ day in Perigueux
Lovely breakfast, my almond crossaint was yum, went to the orange shop to pick up the ‘livebox’ – so we will have TV/ phone/ internet
Back to the house to drop off cheque for lawnmower/ wheelbarrow/ parasol/ lights/ ‘ornaments’ – bit of a drive to Cubjac, very pretty, ideal for a picnic
Back to Perigueux, bit of lunch in the main square, met a lovely thing on the pizza box
Wandered into the shops, looking for dressing things for my finger, wanted to hire him as our gardener
Wander through the streets and very lovely it is too!
Had some in the same square as the night before (yummy pizzas)
Got my finger ready for bed 😦
Big day today, trip to see Dr Jack Roland, 2 hour wait, everyone was seen before me it seems, hey ho, even he looked puzzled by my finger, wrote a letter for me to see a specialist in Perigueux
Off into Hautefort for lunch, found a place with great view
Table mats showed us possible places to visit
Off to the Notaire to sign the papers for the house, was OK, done, we own a house in France!!!!
Quick drink with Claire and onto view the house
The oven had gone 😦 but gives us a blank canvas (literally)
Back to Perigueux via super market, which was huge and looked great, we began to feel a bit happier and settled. Out for dinner to Indian, which was feckin delish!
Into the streets, popped into the cathedral for music ‘n mime, we only stayed for short while, two women seemed puzzled that we didn’t want to stay there, odd
Near the hotel, another (talking) mime, guess if you understood what they were saying it must of been hilarious, although no one else was laughing
Perigueux, where next?
