Always good to see Carol stroking her pussy
Always good advice
Made a lovely lunch of purple cornflower and sprouted stuff
Off to Gemm Vert to buy more shrubbery
The homepage of spacedogs on instragram looked good http://instagram.com/spacedogs
Seems like good advice
Out for lovely meal to Park Restaurant at the school in Savignac, so lovely to be able to walk to a place and not have to worry about ‘who is driving’ – lovely welcome in restaurant.
Lovely welcome glass of bubbly, we had four courses, the bacon soup was OK bit salty, the scrambled eggs worked, the duck casserole was OK – veg and broth nice and the dessert of pear, custard, ice cream, cake and liquor on a spoon was a bit messy, but for 22 euros and lots of wine was great
Home, Terminator, good film, only a bit of it looks dated, and shockingly almost 30 years old
The family joined us for a bit of a boogie
Did little, was good
Off to Perigueux to buy (drum roll) the strimmer again, it looked promising as there were lots of new things in the shop, but alas the phrase again was ‘next week’
Popped into a supermarket, wondered if Matty has branched out to tinned fruit?
Have decided that my favorite colour is pumpkin
It was a sunny/ misty start to the day
Out to Thenon, the scenery looked autumnal and lovely
In Thenon we went to buy, yes, a strimmer, we got there, however, nothing on the shelves, but we were told ‘next week’
After joining the tinternet on my phone we found another place selling the strimmer in Montignac, 20 minutes drive, difficult to find the place, and just about to give up we found the place at 12.01, the shop shuts for lunch at 12.00 – till 2! Paul was slightly pissed off at this point, so homeward bound for lunch
Out to retail parks, browsing, bought a few things to brighten up our lives 🙂
Saw some nice images, they seem to be obsessed with the UK and the USA
Home, dinner, strictly
The sun was bright and the sky blue
Bit of a shock that Ryan Air (bless em) had changed the days of the flights to Liverpool from Tuesday to the Sunday before – we didn’t know – so much was spent trying to work out how to make the plans work, luckily, Paul managed to find a flight to Southampton which still enabled us to hire a car there and leave in Liverpool – not relaxing at all
Mostly packed/ got ready for our big trip this week
Did my show
And as the oil was low we built a big big fire!
The day started with a glow in the sky
Last minute packing and off we went to Limoges, airport, coffee, plane, fecking propellers!!!
Flight was OK, very smooth and in an hour we were in Southampton. Off plane into car hire place ‘but you are an hour early’ we were greeted with, thankfully, the car was there, of course it was there, where else would it be?
Off to visit Karin, was great to be able to do that. And then onwards to Swansea via service station and a festive gingerbread latte and gingerbread cake, both yum!
very VERY sad little game
Lovely red sky on route
And in 3 hours we were in Swansea premier inn. Off for dinner in the hotel and Squeak was tucked up in bed with some bedtime reading
Up to the sight of Swansea marina thingie
Dropped Paul off for his work meeting and I was off to get hair cut, found place, packing was funny, arrived at Murphys Barbers (Est 1969) man after me couldn’t be seen till 3 pm, so I was glad I got there at 10.15. Had a good laugh with haircutter person, mainly about onesies
Back to hotel, shower, checked out, and off to the sights of Swansea
Kinds of sums it up
Swansea is grim, like a bigger version of Newport really, and boy oh boy is it Christmas in the UK, felt like I was beginning a mild panic attack in Marks as song was singing ‘it will be Christmas soon…..’ had to get out
Lunch was at an American diner place, burger and vanilla malted shake were delish, but i didn’t need the huge pile of fries
Bought a yoga DVD in HMV, wandered around, was a bit chilly as had left my coat in France. Came to 2.30 back to hotel, coffee, and then Paul was ready, picked up, then off to Manchester
Popped into Media Centre for quick bite to eat, its where the BBC is don’t you know, and then suddenly there were lots of people running away
Then to stay with Lilian, Paul off to Huddersfield, the weather forecast said it all really
A view I have seen so many times, but perhaps not again, Lilian may be moving soon to Wigan
Do you really need four bins? yes you do in Manchester
Lush red sky sunset
Off to Isis for dinner, food was great as per, Lilian enjoyed her coffee
We sent photo to Paul to say goodnight
Weather forecast says snow in Limoges, eek!
Worked on an idea for the radio show
Off to Morrisons to help Lilian with the shopping, Paul arrived about 2 and then off to Leeds
Out to the centre so Paul could see a Guru or Genius at the apple store
no, YOU are the genius!
Off for dinner to streetfoodie place, great fun and great tofu curry with broken (!) rice
Lots of wine to be drunk, Alison had an odd way of warming the wine
I was VERY tired – must of been the little sleep over the past two nights
We all made it to the cinema to see Gravity in 3D, great film, shed a tear or two, civilized cinema with pizzas and being able ot take bottle of wine in as we sat in sofas watching the flick
Breakfast with a fastive napkin
Squeak had a marvelous time
Note to self……?
And off to Liverpool, we enjoyed the car, nippy little thing! and was tres chilly in Liverpool
Home late, drive back, nearly ran into a hot, dead, steaming large best in the road that another car must have hit – oh the glamor
The oil arrived, and lo, we have heat!
Paul’s phone looked clean and efficient
Limoges looked chilly/ snowy
Did my show
this weeks theme: DR WHO
#SDR eccentric/ eclectic/ electric
Did my first yoga of 10 minutes with a DVD, was a bit chilly in the garage, so next week inside for 15 minutes
I noticed at 5 that the day was whizzing by
Tried to watch the 2 hr BBC ultimate DR Who guide but was awful with awful celebs and pop music being forced together – it was vile!
Another French lesson, and went well, felt better on leaving than arriving
Paul had made contact with a ‘floor specialised’ in the village, they popped in and everything seemed to go well, so now we wait for quote
The kitchen arrived!
A fire was built to try and burn the many many leaves
This is where the oil went to, fingers crossed with the heating on it lasts a while
Date night and out for dinner – so idea what the restaurant was called but the Texan pizza was yum!
Was looking forward to breakfast the day before!
And lo, breakfast was good!
It was DR Who day…… here’s my review that I put on digital spy
Ok, been watching dr who since the Jon Pertwee years, and fans of the Pertwee/ Baker/ Tennant years – so there, my cards are on the table – just thought I’d share my random thoughts
Thought the ‘journey in time and space’ story of the original set up of Dr Who in the 60’s was excellent TV – emotional/ thoughtful/ moving/ well acted
So, am not a hater or a troll, but very underwhelmed with this 50th special, most exciting bit for me was the 2/3 seconds of the 13th doctor.
Hey ho, bits didn’t make sense, Tom Baker (who I loved a as Dr Who) the caretaker? What?
The bizarre Elizabeth 1st with the 3D photos? the 3 tardis? The bizarre last scene of all the (cardboard cut outs, sorry) Doctors
Then I think, so what? This programme ain’t aimed at me anymore – and as a fan of science fiction I can still believe Star Trek can fly at warp 9 – however, 50th celebration episode – bit dull – 7/10 – was a good episode, but not a classic one
But at least the OTT background music didn’t get on my nerves as much – and was great to see Tom Baker
Ah well – peace, love and light to you all
Paul worked on the shrubbery….
Did my show
This weeks theme: SOUP
@daronoram @joshiebhall last nite had my yearly ‘back at metro’ dream – Clive was there too 🙂
Drove to Bergerac, Paul off to Swansea – he had a time and half on the trains in the UK
I recalled that today would have been my mums birthday, it all feels so long ago now
Was a beautiful sunny day today, ending with a clear sky
Beautiful start to the day
Filtering my moment
Opened the shutters and birds came to say ‘hello’
Frost on car
Gluten free with raspberry and almond milk
Did lots of French lessons….. !
Had a petit cafe with cream and cinnamon dusting
Lots of IT issues today
French lesson was OK, lots to remember – Car seemed to want some kind of code, of course the book with the info in is in French – however, managed to work it out, horray!
Oh and my iphone 4 seemed to ‘have a moment’ had had to restore too – joy!
And to bed and was minus 5
Something to think about………
Awoke to minus 7!!
Lorra lorra leaves to burn…..
Robin came to say ‘hey’
Smoke/ sun look
And hair became paprika colour
Paul was off to dinner in London
And to bed with a zero
The day started with this
Off to airport to pick up Paul
Home, watched Dallas with Dr Feffer
Still leaves to be burning
